Our 6-Month Anniversary Weekend!

Hey Folks!

Well, Ligeia and I just celebrated our 6 month anniversary this past Friday. Can you believe that it’s been 6 months already??? Well, in hono(u)r of the occasion we planned an event-filled weekend extraordinaire!

It began on Friday, with flowers, wine, hallmark and a tasty garlic-heavy dinner of fettucine alfredo and garlic bread. Yum!

On Saturday, we headed to Lee Valley (sort of a high-end Home Depot) and strolled through the aisles to find objects to make use of a very generous gift card. We bought tomato garden spirals, trays to start seedlings, a book on Woodworking (a hobby we hope to get into when we have a basement/garage) and beautiful coffee table book on Trees. It was a great trip!

We also ran a lot of errands on Saturday – after all, no other anniversary weekend would be complete without a trip to the grocery store. More importantly, we finally went to get our marriage certificate framed (it only took us 6 months!). Soon, we’ll have it up on our wall, and now that it’s finally getting done, I can’t wait to see it!

Sunday, asides from doing laundry, we went to a Maple Sugar Festival. Sadly, it was a bit too cold to really see the sap flowing from the trees, but we nevertheless got to taste a couple dropfuls of it, as well as the sweet maple syrup, sugar, and butter! Our jackets (even after getting washed) still have the faint smell of campfire.

Who can guess what Ligeia’s friend is?

That was our weekend. Not sure what we have planned for the next couple, but we’ll be sure to post anything exciting (even laundry!)

Lots of love,
Mindy and Ligeia 🙂

    Congrats strangers! LOL
Our two year anniversary was March 19 of being married in Canada. Of course it fell on a Monday so not much to do. we are thinking of having a special dinner on Sat. Good luck on the househunting!
    Take care.

Hey there, congrats on the 6 months!!! I am glad you finally put up some pics of the appartment. Your apartment looks really nice….all the stories you had told me made me wonder all this time what your place looked like!! I will have to see it in person some day…unless you buy a house before then. Take Care.
