Ligeia’s friend from college, Jennifer Cooper, happened to come to St. Petersburg, Florida to perform a program called Sentimental Journey, which tells the story of her grandfather and grandmother during World War 2.
The performance alternates back and forth between a narration of actual letters sent to and from her grandmother and grandfather while he was in the war and period songs that highlight the text. Here she is in front of photographs of her grandparents:
It was masterfully done and it was so great to see Coopie again and it was so wonderful to watch her have fun on stage:
