We’ve been busy!

Hi Everyone!

Well, the past couple of weeks have been quite active ones for us! And lucky for you we have pictures to prove it!

It was 2 weekends ago that Ligeia and I went to an apple orchard to pick apples. When we got there, we were happily surprised to learn that they also had a corn maze, pumpkin patch and tractor rides. Although we opted out of the tractor ride, we did walk through a huge pumpkin patch – once we walked a little farther away from the main entrance, the pumpkin were gigantic and a beautiful orange!

And of course, we picked apples… lots of them! With them I baked an apple pie (I made the crust, too!) and with our new juicerator, we had a glass of fresh apple juice (absolutely delicious!) and with the rest of the apples, we made a fantastic apple cider. We’ll probably go picking again soon before the snow comes!

After the wedding, we were lucky to have our friends Leonora and Anders stay with us from Norway. It was fantastic to spend time with them and we can’t wait to let them return the favour and have them host us in Norway! We miss you!!!

Ligeia and I were also took advantage of a beautiful fall afternoon last weekend and went for a short hike along part of the Bruce Trail (anyone know who Bruce was/is?) It was gorgeous! The Bruce Trail association currently has a photo contest going on (winners announced in May 2007) so we took lots of pictures and are very pleased with how they turned out!

And last, but not least, tomorrow we fly to the Rocky Mountains for our honeymoon. We’re staying in Golden, British Columbia (right in between 6 national parks – about 4 hours west of Banff) Of course, we’ll post pictures as soon as we can!
