We just want to apologize for not posting in the last month. We’ve been lucky enough to enjoy fantastic sunsets from our balcony, so posting on the blog goes on the back burner… sorry! We’ve been running around like mad trying to get things organized for our big day! So, it’s not for a lack of things happening that we haven’t posted, it’s for that exact reason – there just aren’t enough hours in a day! Let’s see if we can recap our last month:
We decided about what we’re going to wear for the wedding, and since I don’t think I show my best side wearing a bridal gown, it was clear that I was going to be in a tuxedo with tails. For Ligeia, it was more of a difficult decision. She looks fantastic in a dress, but together, we didn’t like the idea of such defined gender roles. So we decided that we’ll both be in tails, but Ligeia still wanted the experience that she thinks every bride should have: trying on gowns (every bride, that is, except for Mindy!) She looks absolutely breathtaking!
We’ve been continuing to work, and starting last week, Ligeia has acquired full-time status with her language school!!! Yay Ligeia! So, now, we’re both working a full week, and we come home tired, and we love it! I’m still enjoying my job, and my brain keeps getting fuller and fuller! 🙂
Last weekend, due to a cockroach problem in the building, all 95 units were fumigated. Ligeia and I agree that a few cockroaches are WAY better than the smell and inconvenience of fumigation. Ontario Public Health okayed the bug-killing process, but the fact that not even our plants could stay inside the apartment makes us wonder. I’m not sure if it had anything to do with the fumigation, but the day afterwards, I started feeling sick – sore throat, congested. All week, I’ve been dealing with an end-of-the-summer cold 🙁 I’m just hoping that I’m back to 100% for the wedding!
Well, I think it’s about time that we sign off and get back to our list of things to do! Hope everyone has a happy Labo(u)r day and we’ll try our best to post again soon!
Mindy and Ligeia 🙂
