Last weekend, Mindy went to Santa Cruz for a conference. While she was there, she went for a quick, one-mile hike in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. As you can see, the redwoods were HUGE!!!
Once the conference was over, she headed up to visit her cousins in Danville, about 45 minutes east of San Francisco. Saturday was her big chance to visit San Fran and the city didn’t disappoint!
San Francisco Bay was beautiful!
Lombard St (named the “crookedest” street on the map she had)
The Golden Gate Bridge was fantastic (if she had had a car that day, she would have driven across it, but alas, this is the closest she got)
The sea lions at Pier 39 relaxing and soaking up the sun.
And the touristy, but really cool cable cars were interested to ride. The jerky starts and stops weren’t the best for Mindy, prone to motion-sickness. But she survived and thoroughly enjoyed her trip to northern California. She’ll have to return soon with Ligeia and see more of the state!
Thank you to Brian and Morna for being such gracious hosts and look forward to seeing you all again soon!
Lots of love,
Mindy (and Ligeia) : )
