Ligeia’s Long Weekend in Utah

Balanced Rock at Arches National Park, Utah

Ligeia flew into Salt Lake City to visit her friend Matt for the long weekend. They both enjoy the outdoors so everyday was filled with some sort of outdoors adventure.
On Friday, her arrival day, they drove to see Bridal Veil Falls and that night went to a country/western bar where Ligeia learned how to do some country line dancing.
Saturday they drove to the Homestead Crater, where they did some scuba diving:

Sunday was a day of shooting. Matt and several of his friends took Ligeia into the desert to practice shooting. They taught Ligeia how to use various shotguns and pistols.

Ligeia’s favorite gun was the AR15.

Monday was Ligeia’s favorite day of all, when they drove about 4 hours away to Arches National Park.
There was lots to do and see there and just driving around was beautiful.
This is Balanced Rock. I can’t imagine where they came up with that name. 🙂

Below is the North Window. (there’s a south one too)

Ligeia’s favorite part was hiking the 1.5 miles up to Delicate Arch, which is the state symbol of Utah.

Have you ever been to Utah? What did you enjoy the most?
