Taste of Winter!

Hey Folks!

It’s been such a long time since Toronto experienced a true winter, Ligeia and I headed north to Quebec City for a weekend escape. We were lucky to avoid traveling through the major storm that just hit the northeast, but we were happy to be caught in the middle of it while we were in Quebec! Above, we’re at the ice-covered Chute Montmorency (Montmorency Falls).

Old Man Winter took no pity. This is a neighbour’s car the morning after the storm. Ouch!

Here’s Bonhomme, kicking off the start of the dogsled races! Quebec City is celebrating their 400th anniversary this year, so Carnaval was especially exciting!

We also took a trip 45 north of Quebec City to the world-renowned Ice Hotel. Snow and ice are the foundation, furniture and wall art. The hotel includes an ice night club, ice church and even an ice slide in the lobby!

Hope you’re able to enjoy winter as much as we did!

Lots of love,
Ligeia and Mindy 🙂 🙂
