This past week, Mindy celebrated her 30th birthday. As part of her wish, she wanted to do something each evening of the week.
Monday started off with some theater, enjoying the show of clowns. Mindy’s brother performed as Sir Porridge and he was terrific! So amazing in fact that Mindy will soon learn the act of clowning in the new year!
On Tuesday, Ligeia and Mindy went out for dinner and a movie. They went to the Ethiopian House and then off to the theater to watch 127 Hours. Both parts of the evening were wonderful!
On Wednesday, Mindy’s actual birthday, we watched the Leafs play the Penguins at Rose & Dawn’s place. Although, Rose is seen here with her Pittsburgh jersey, she’s really a Leafs fan at heart (Sidney Crosby unfortunately plays for the Pens!)Not surprisingly, the Leafs lost 5-2. After the game, Ligeia surprised Mindy with her gift: two workshops at Lee Valley for “Women & Power Tools”. 2011 is going to be GREAT!!!
On Thursday, Mindy opted to take it easy. We made pizza from scratch and enjoyed watching our favorite shows online. Here’s a pic of the gourmet meal:
Tonight, we had plans to go skating, but with the weather being rainy and damp, we made the decision the stay in, curled up on the couch, watching stuff online.
All in all, it’s been a busy week! Tomorrow, Mindy plays hockey and then has a final birthday event – a nice dinner up in Caledon. Stay tuned for pics of that!
Take care,
Mindy & Ligeia 🙂
