The Come Chiang Mai Lanna Boutique Hotel offers an affordable, yet luxurious, place to stay in the heart of Chiang Mai. Centrally located in the old city in easy walking distance to both the Saturday and Sunday Walking Streets, the Night Bazaar and numerous temples, this boutique hotel offers a relaxing retreat from the bustle of the city.
First Impression
Walking past an indoor wishing well and through a welcoming lounge area, the Come Chiang Mai certainly lives up to its boutique name. Checking in at the front desk was painless, as the staff easily found our reservation and with their advanced English skills, there was no language barrier at all.
Rooms & Amenities
Our 2nd floor “Superior” room, quietly tucked away at the end of the hall, was small and cozy, providing us with everything we needed. All the rooms have a window that face the open-air hallway, which looks out over the back patio.
The ensuite bathroom had a rain shower faucet and the hot water felt glorious with the cool, winter temperatures outside. The WIFI signal was strong and, yes, we even enjoyed the cable television, which included an array of channels in English.
Food & Dining
Our overnight stay included breakfast in the morning, which was available from 7:00 – 10:00am. Looking over the menu of breakfast sets, we were disheartened to see that none of the options were vegan. Unsurprised by this, we asked our server to concoct a plate of side dishes: toast without butter, a fruit plate, juice and coffee.
We were delighted when she explained to us that the chef could make us an order of vegetable fried rice without egg. We still got our fresh fruit and beverages, and along with the efforts of the staff, we left the quaint, cafe-style seating area with a great taste in our mouths.
