And so the rains begin…A Photo Story

When you wake up and this is what your front yard looks like,…

(Here is a closer view in case you couldn’t see the water in the picture above)

…you may ask yourself where all that water is coming from.

You may spend some time contemplating it.

You may even have the courage to walk through the big puddle instead of around it…

…but in the end, you realize that the rainy season is here and will be here for several months. Since there is nothing you can do about it, you might as well just accept it!

Or get a tacky thin blue garbage bag to cover yourself when you go outside. Just kidding it’s a rain poncho. You can see them everywhere and they only cost 20 Baht (about 66 cents!)

Given that it has been raining for the past 2 days virtually non-stop, we figure it must be the beginning of the rainy season. We wonder if this is what we can expect until September or is this unusual. We’ll get back to you on that.
Thanks for following our blog,
Ligeia and Mindy :):)

AHHHH… You guys better buy something to kill off mosquitoes… If they are bad in Florida during the rainy season I can't even imagine how they could get down in Thailand…. All Kinds 🙂

Amazing stuff, gals. I'm enjoying keeping tabs on what you're up to. The temples are awesome! 🙂

Now there is your contrast program from the desert to the lush green houses. No wonder that so much fruit grows there. We have rain also today and overnight our world turned green. You should go out in bathing suits – not in rain coats.
However blue looks good on Mindy!
Like the pictures of the boy!
Thanks and take care and good luck!
    Love, Oma:-)
